At MC&I, we strongly believe in partnering with local nonprofit organizations working hard to provide life-changing services for Memphians. HopeWorks and the Shelby Literacy Center both teach literacy and job readiness.

Shelby Literacy Center
As the Shelby Literacy Center Board President,
Ed Larkin serves the nonprofit organization and its mission to empower individuals to reach their personal goals by providing opportunities to
learn literacy & life skills.
Ed and his co-workers at MC&I provide ongoing support for English language educators and volunteers. Ed has organized and volunteered at numerous fundraising events and he works closely with the Executive Director and board committees to ensure ongoing fiscal responsibility and growth.
In the past two years, the SLC has also expanded its outreach to provide bilingual and multicultural books to underserved libraries and families throughout Shelby County and Fayette County. www.ShelbyLiteracy.com
HopeWorks
Stefan Feick and his team at MC&I provide ongoing support for HopeWorks, a nonprofit organization providing much-needed life-changing services.
HopeWorks’ mission is to guide Memphians in need of a second chance through essential education, counseling and career development programming to establish a relationship with God while building stability, confidence and a hope-filled future.
